The Aztec god of war was Huitzilopochtli who was also the god of the sun. His name translates to "resuscitated warrior of the south". Known for Patron god of the Aztecs and their capital city, Tenochtitlan Wielded Xiuhcoatl, the fire serpent, as a weapon. Often represented in art as either a hummingbird or an eagle.The Mexica/Aztec were said to be guided by Huitzilopochtli.
